To Register for the Exam, you must complete 100% of the AEA AFP Online Prep Course. If you are taking the Exam Only or doing a Retake Exam, you will receive an email with the registration link after purchasing the Exam.
Prior to the taking the Exam:
Prepare for your Exam to the best of your ability by using the recommended resources as recommended by AEA.
Complete your AFP Online Prep Course (if enrolled) in full before selecting your Exam date
Confirm you have the correct date & time for your Exam
On the Exam day:
Please have your government issued photo ID. This will be confirmed with the exam concierge/proctor.
Once in the Zoom Meeting and your ID is confirmed, you will receive a link to access the exam.
Make sure your desk or surface area is clear except for a pad and paper.
Your microphone and video camera must remain on during the exam. Please ensure you have a quiet space to work with zero distractions for the entire examination time.
This exam cannot be taken from your smart phone or iPad. A desktop computer or laptop computer are approved.
The allotted time for the exam is two (2) hours and you must receive a minimum score of 68% or higher to successful pass the examination.
Your results will be provided as soon as you complete your exam.
If you do not successfully pass on your first attempt, you can purchase a retake exam for $45 once you are ready to attempt it again.
